When we bought our house, we knew we wanted to redo the kitchen.
It had great square footage but the builder grade orange oak cabinets weren't doing it for me. The flipped island (on the right) made it an eat in kitchen, but also made everything feel crammed over by the oven.
And the windows above the cabinets- we struggled with those. On one hand, the windows were a light source. On the other- they got in the way of long beautiful lines that could be made by taller cabinets. Conundrums.
